Enrollment
See the MUSD Enrollment Webpage for information on enrollment. Please read MUSD Enrollment Webpage carefully for the fastest way to get answers to your questions. You must enroll your child at your resident school based on your Milpitas resident address. If you do not know your resident school, please use the District's School Locator.
Families should complete online enrollment, and then wait to be contacted regarding completing the enrollment process. Mattos will be notified when you've completed online enrollment and you will be contacted in the order enrollment was completed. Please do not come to Mattos in person without an appointment. Questions can be directed to Julien Kim, Mattos principal secretary, at jukim@musd.org and 408.635.2695 x2107.
Frequently Asked Questions
If my child is currently a Mattos student in the 2023-24 school year, is there anything I need to do when enrollment opens for 2024-25? Returning students automatically continue enrollment as long as they still live in the Mattos attendance zone. Be prepared to show updated proof of residency annually.

When will I know if my TK-6th grader is enrolled at Mattos for 2024-25? Mattos will post assignments the day before the first day of school based on availability. All remaining unassigned students will be placed on a waitlist and should go to Mattos on the first day of school. Anyone on the waitlist who is not seated at Mattos will be assigned to another school within the first 10 days of school.
If my child is on a waitlist, how will I know when a seat is available? The Mattos School Office will contact you by phone as soon as the seat becomes available. Personal contact with you will be made before moving down the list. The office can not make predictions on when a seat will become available.
